With the holidays fast approaching, there’s no time like the “Present” to “Gift” your budget a break. With Sweet Home FCU’s Holiday Skip-a-Pay program, you can elect to skip one loan payment in the month of November, December or January.
To take advantage of the Holiday Skip-a-Pay program, members must complete the below authorization form and return it to the credit union at least 5 days prior to the payment due date. - Your account and loan must be in good standing when the Skip-a-Payment request is received.
- Skip-a-Payment is not available for any loans secured by real estate, open-ended loans or credit cards.
- All loans must have a minimum of three (3) consecutive on-time loan and/or credit card payments in order to qualify.
- You may skip your loan payment up to three (3) times during the life of the loan.
- There is a $25.00 processing fee for each loan payment you request to skip.
- Both Borrower and Cosigner must agree and sign the Skip-a-Payment Authorization form. Any incomplete form will not be accepted.
- The credit union is not responsible for stopping any automatic transfers that you have to pay your loan. Please ensure that you have temporarily stopped any transfers you have in place to pay your loan.
- If the loan has GAP (Guaranteed Asset Protection), any skipped payments will not be covered by a GAP claim.
- Interest will continue to accrue on the unpaid balance of your loan. Skipping a payment will have the result of increasing the total amount of interest paid, in which case you may be required to make additional payments after your scheduled maturity date.
