Back in 1957, Sweet Home Federal Credit Union began as a simple conversation between colleagues. A group of Sweet Home employees decided they wanted a financial partner that actually looked out for them—a place where they could help one another save more and borrow smarter. They weren’t trying to build a corporate giant; they were just coworkers coming together to make life a little easier for each other.
Fast forward to today, and while we’ve grown into our home on Sweet Home Road, those “people helping people” roots haven’t changed a bit. We now serve over 3,000 neighbors across Amherst and Tonawanda, but we’re still member-owned and operated. That means there’s no big corporate board to answer to—just you.
Whether you live, work, go to school, or volunteer in our community, you’re part of the family here. We’re big believers that “our members are worth more than money,” which is why we focus on keeping loan rates low, dividends high, and making sure you always get the kind of personal, friendly service you’d expect from a neighbor.
