Member Services Representative / Teller

Role Overview
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Execute teller transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, and transfers with high speed and accuracy.
- Provide friendly, welcoming assistance to members in person and over the phone, reinforcing our trust-based culture.
- Proactively identify member needs and introduce helpful credit union solutions, including savings accounts, credit cards, and digital banking tools.
- Balance the cash drawer daily and adhere strictly to internal audits, security guidelines, and compliance protocols.
- Process administrative tasks such as mail-in deposits, night drop-box verification, and bank card ordering.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of financial institution teller or heavy retail cash-handling experience.
- Comfortable working with specialized core banking software and digital teller systems.
- Excellent active listening and communication skills to resolve member issues efficiently.
- Strong analytical math skills with a proven history of balanced drawers and attention to detail.
Work Environment
This role operates inside a modern, professional, and climate-controlled branch lobby. The position requires remaining standing or sitting behind the teller line for extended periods, operating standard office hardware, and communicating extensively with community members in a fast-paced environment. Hours include standard business hours.
